By posting their check register online and other financial information, these districts are showing simple respect for the taxpayer.  Letting the taxpayer, who funds the school, see exactly where the dollars are being spent.  Having nothing to hide,  these school districts are demonstrating transparency with their community.

This list is compiled through volunteer citizen action, notification, and/or identification of transparent districts.  Please call 312.613.0512 if you have a question about individual school districts and how they determined transparency to be a good measure for their district.
